Job summary

First American Mortgage Solutions seeks an Associate Operations Counsel to provide in-house legal and regulatory advice on mortgage servicing and origination, draft contracts, policies and product forms, and support operational teams.

Required: law degree and admission to practice in the US, 1–3 years in mortgage law, knowledge of federal and state regulations, strong research and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Facilitate the business objectives of the Division(s) supported and Company by providing timely and effective legal support to as well as minimizing potential legal exposure and risk.
• Responsible for providing and rendering practical, timely, and high quality legal counsel and guidance to the Company division(s) and department(s) to which you are assigned, working with the independent Corporate Compliance Department to ensure compliance throughout the organization with regard to applicable laws and regulations

Pay Range: $112,400.00 - $149,800.00 AnnuallyThis hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
