Standard Bots, a growing industrial robotics company with a hybrid on-site requirement in Glen Cove or Manhattan, seeks its first in-house General Counsel. You’ll own the full contract lifecycle across sales, partnerships, and procurement, build playbooks, and serve as the trusted legal lead from employment matters to international entity structuring.

The role focuses on commercial contracts with exposure to privacy, product liability, and corporate matters, requiring coordination with outside

Qualifications

• J.D. with admission to New York practice; multi-state experience is a plus.
• Experience negotiating with sophisticated enterprise counterparties.
• Experience addressing legal matters across sales, partnerships and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements, NDAs, supply and reseller agreements with large counterparties.
• Standardize terms and build a contract clause playbook for common terms and escalations.
• Structure liability, indemnification, insurance, and warranty terms for industrial hardware.
• Negotiate data processing and privacy terms; support DFARS/CMMC/NIST requirements.
• Support international expansion and cross-border contracting; coordinate with local counsel.
• Handle employment matters, restrictive covenants, and any disputes with outside counsel.
• Support strategic transactions, including diligence and IP-related deal terms.
• Serve as primary point of contact for legal questions and manage outside counsel spend.
