Job summary

Botrista seeks an experienced in-house counsel to join the Global Legal Team in Washington, DC, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer. This role serves as the primary counsel for national Business Development teams in the U.S. and may participate in cross-border transactions.

The attorney will handle high-volume commercial contracting, institutional procurement, and regulatory compliance across all 50 states, with opportunities to influence strategic partnerships and expansion.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to State Bar or eligible for immediate registration.
• 10+ years of legal practice, with mix of top-tier firm training and in-house experience.

Responsibilities

• Business Development Support: counsel for national customer agreements, MSAs, Pilot/Testing, and HaaS contracts for chains and universities.
• Institutional Procurement: manage RFP processes for K-12, ensuring NSLP compliance and state procurement rules.
• Regulatory Compliance: oversee NSF/ANSI sanitation standards and FDA/USDA food safety across all 50 states.
• Safety & Liability: manage product liability risk and safety certifications (e.g., UL 3320).
• Privacy & Data Protection: ensure FERPA and state privacy law compliance for student data integrations.
• Template Development: build scalable contract templates and playbooks to accelerate sales.
