T-Mobile USA, Inc. seeks a Corporate Counsel focused on Financial Privacy and Emerging Data Use to advise cross-functional teams on GLBA, FCRA, state privacy laws, and evolving consumer data privacy requirements.

The role requires 3+ years of in-house or top firm experience, a JD from an ABA-accredited school, and active U.S. bar membership. You will draft policies, assess privacy risks, and help enable compliant, customer-focused innovation in a fast-paced tech environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as an in-house, top law firm, or government attorney
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited university with outstanding academic credentials
• Current bar membership (in good standing) in at least one U.S. state
• Experience with privacy preferred
• Strong aptitude and enthusiasm for learning new technology
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and advise on highly complex matters
• Demonstrated ability to establish subject matter expert status in specialty fields
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to interact with a range of personalities across the business with executive maturity
• Ability to navigate a complex organization with results-driven mindset

Responsibilities

• Advise the company on privacy laws, regulations, obligations, and industry standards affecting financial products and services
• Counsel on GLBA and state financial privacy laws, FCRA, and emerging privacy laws
• Advise on privacy considerations for new data uses and AI-enabled products/services
• Guide privacy impact assessments and analyses of products, services, and processes
• Develop strong business partnerships to address privacy considerations for strategies and products
• Drive a compliant program through drafting policies, disclosures, and training
• Draft and negotiate related provisions in contracts as needed
• Analyze legislation and provide SME support to Government Affairs
• Support and propel cross-department privacy initiatives
