Job summary

Compu Dynamics, LLC seeks a Corporate Counsel to own day-to-day contract review, redlining, and negotiation, building a centralized agreement system and managing outside counsel. The role partners with the COO to carry the majority of current legal work and escalate only high-impact decisions.

The ideal candidate will move quickly, think like a business partner, and contribute to creating a robust in-house legal function from the ground up.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar license in Virginia or eligible to register as corporate counsel in Virginia.
• 2–7 years of commercial contracts experience, mix of law firm and in-house preferred.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating MSAs, subcontracts, NDAs, and customer agreements.
• Experience with IP and trade-secret protection in commercial agreements.
• Ability to move quickly and explain legal risk to executives.

Responsibilities

• Review, redline, and negotiate NDAs, MSAs, subcontractor, staff ing, vendor, customer contracts and POs, often within hours.
• Negotiate with counterparties and prepare final agreements for executive signature.
• Develop standard templates, fallback positions, and a contract playbook for rapid movement of routine agreements.
• Use AI-assisted tools for first-pass review with independent legal judgment.
• Maintain centralized, searchable system for all agreements; track renewals and obligations.
• Serve as primary legal advisor to the COO and leadership on contract risk and business decisions.
