Job summary

Vinfen is seeking an In-Home Support Staff under the Agency with Choice program to provide direct case management and hands-on training for persons served. You will help clients learn daily living skills, expand community participation, and work under dual supervision with families and Vinfen staff.

The role demands transporting clients, keeping detailed records, and participating in ongoing trainings while maintaining a supportive, respectful, and advocacy-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Three months to one year experience in a related function.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Driving is a requirement; valid driver’s license and insurance; must pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide training to persons served to develop daily living skills (e.g., fire safety, budgeting, cooking, ADLs).
• Assist residents in becoming integrated into their communities.
• Monitor residents’ physical and emotional needs and report changes to supervisors.
• Escort residents using public transportation or a vehicle; provide transportation as needed.
• Maintain records and collect data to track ISP goals.
• Participate in training and supervision; communicate with Vinfen and Family/Guardian supervisors.
• Implement service plan interventions and provide direct training and support.
• Advocate for persons served and report incidents as required.
• Perform housekeeping tasks and cover program shifts including overnights, days, evenings, weekends.
