Job summary

Generac Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a GeneratorSalesConsultant to conduct in-home consultations and guide homeowners through standby generator solutions. You will assess sites, explain backup power concepts, and navigate financing, warranties, and installation timelines.

Collaborating with engineering, permitting, and installation teams, you will ensure accurate CRM records and timely follow-ups, aiming to deliver an exceptional experience and earn referrals from satisfied customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in-home sales experience.
• Experience selling HVAC, electrical, roofing, solar, or other residential home improvement products is a plus.
• Strong presentation, communication, and closing skills.
• Ability to break down technical concepts into homeowner-friendly terms.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Availability to work evenings and Saturdays based on customer schedules.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home consultations with homeowners interested in standby generators.
• Perform site assessments to determine the right generator size and installation requirements.
• Educate customers on backup power, outage preparedness, fuel options, and generator operation.
• Walk customers through financing options, warranties, maintenance plans, and installation timelines.
• Team up with engineering, permitting, operations, and installation to complete projects.
• Maintain accurate customer records and pipeline activity in CRM.
• Follow up quickly and professionally and address customer questions.
• Earn referrals by delivering an exceptional customer experience.
