Job summary

ADT is seeking a Smart Home Consultant to guide residential customers in designing a home setup that protects what they value most. You’ll combine hands-on installation with consultative sales, helping customers understand security, IoT devices, and smart home products.

You will activate systems, educate customers on our app and features, and ensure every solution fits their needs. You will perform in-home assessments, install devices, educate customers, and provide ongoing support to build

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record may be needed by location.
• Strong customer-focused communication skills.
• Technical aptitude with smart device ecosystems and connected technologies.
• Ability to understand how multiple products interact within a home network.
• Advise customers on the best system design and setup to support safety goals.
• Continuous learner comfortable with new tools and technologies.
• Ability to climb, lift 10+ pounds, and work indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home consultations and assessments.
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on customer goals.
• Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices, and smart home products.
• Integrate new products with the customer’s existing setup.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical questions.
• Complete customer onboarding and product education.
• Build long-term customer confidence through proactive support.
• Identify upsell opportunities that strengthen home protection.
