Job summary

ADT Security Services in Columbus is seeking a Smart Home Consultant to guide residential customers in designing a home security and smart-device setup. You will combine hands-on installation with consultative sales, activating systems, educating customers on the app, and ensuring solutions fit their goals.

You'll deliver in-home assessments, recommend products, install hardware, troubleshoot, and build long-term customer confidence through proactive support and upsell opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong customer-focused communication and technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home consultations and assessments
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on customer goals
• Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices, and smart home products
• Integrate new products with the customer's existing setup
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical questions
• Complete customer onboarding and product education
• Build long-term customer confidence through proactive support
• Identify upsell opportunities that strengthen home protection
