Job summary

S&G Carpet and More is seeking an In-Home Sales Consultant in the Greater Sacramento region. You will meet clients in their homes, assess projects, propose solutions, and close on-site when possible. Some leads provided; independence to source leads after training.

Service-industry experience encouraged; valid driver’s license required. Ranked with a generous compensation package including base pay and commissions, full benefits, and a company vehicle.

Position Description:

As an In-Home Sales Consultant, you will be provided with daily leads from customers who have specifically reached out to us for new floor covering. You will meet with customers in their homes, assess the scope of their project, assist in the selection of products, provide written proposals, and close on-site whenever possible.

*While some sales leads will be provided, candidates will be expected to independently source leads upon completion of training*

*Candidates with experience in the Service Industry are encouraged to apply!*

Total Annual Compensation Package:

• Generous starting base salary of $52,000 per year, plus commission. Earn commission from day one!

• Between salary and commission, new hires can earn $70,000 - $95,000 per year to start. The more you sell, the more you earn.

Position Requirements:

Applicants MUST have a valid driver's license and clean driving record!

• Must plan and organize your day to be most productive including time for in-home consultations, writing proposals, follow-up on unsold leads, and processing sold orders.

• Must have strong drive and ability to excel in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment.
• Strong presentation and customer service skills required.
• Strong negotiation skills required.
• Strong organizational skills. Ability to meet sales quotas and deadlines and use good judgment in performing conflicting demands and managing priorities.
• Strong initiative with the ability to seek out relevant information before making timely decisions.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with the internet are required.
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours during peak periods.
• Ability to pass a background check.
