Job summary

United Energy Workers Healthcare seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide in-home health care as a 1099 independent contractor. You will perform thorough patient assessments, administer medications, educate families, and coordinate with Case Managers to ensure holistic, patient-centered care.

You will travel to patient homes, deliver compassionate support, document care in the EMR, and maintain professional standards with compliance and empathy.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the practicing state
• Willingness to travel to patient homes for care
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current BLS certification
• Able to pass state and federal background checks
• Malpractice insurance is required
• Strong problem-solving and empathetic approach to care

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and ensure personalized, comprehensive care
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) with dignity
• Coordinate care with patients’ plans and approved hours
• Monitor changes in patient conditions and report promptly
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Communicate with Case Managers and physicians for unified care
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the EMR
• Provide emotional support to patients and families
• Prepare clear clinical notes and charting conveying patient stories
