Job summary

United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join as in-home care Independent Contractors. You will travel to patient homes, provide holistic care, document meticulously in our EMR, and coordinate with case managers and physicians. This role emphasizes empathy, education, and patient-centered support.

The position requires an active RN license, willingness to travel, BLS, and a strong commitment to safety and compassionate care in home settings.

Qualifications

• A valid and active RN License in the state of practice.
• A willingness to travel, bringing care directly to patients' homes.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to pass a state & federal background check.
• Malpractice insurance is required.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a warm, empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

• Be a pillar of support with thorough assessments and personalized care.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed.
• Coordinate schedules with patients per plan of care and preferences.
• Monitor changes in patient symptoms and report promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate with case managers and physicians to ensure unified care.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the EMR system.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
