Job summary

United Energy Workers Healthcare seeks dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team as in-home care providers on a 1099 independent contractor basis. You will deliver compassionate, holistic nursing to energy workers in their homes, with flexible hours and a community-focused mission.

As an RN, you’ll perform assessments, educate patients and families, administer meds, and coordinate with case managers. A valid RN license, BLS, and ability to travel are required.

Qualifications

• A valid and active RN License in the state of practice.
• A willingness to travel, bringing care directly to patients' homes.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Ability to pass a state & federal background check, ensuring trust and safety.
• Malpractice Insurance is required.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, coupled with a warm, empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide personalized in-home care.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and prevention.
• Assist with ADLs with dignity and respect.
• Coordinate care with patients' plans and schedules with approved hours.
• Monitor symptoms and report changes promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate with case managers and physicians to coordinate care.
• Document care in the EMR accurately.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
