Job summary

United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join as in-home health care RNs on a 1099 independent contractor basis. You will bring compassionate, holistic care directly to patients in their homes and build meaningful relationships within your community.

As an independent contractor, you’ll manage your own schedule while delivering high-quality assessments, education, ADL support, and coordinated care with case managers and physicians.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Willingness to travel to patients' homes.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
• Malpractice insurance is required.
• Strong problem-solving and empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough home health assessments and tailor care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance.
• Assist with ADLs with dignity and respect.
• Coordinate schedules with patients per plan of care and approved hours.
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Communicate with case managers and collaborating physicians or specialists.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of care.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
