Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide in-home outpatient therapy to older adults across patient homes and independent living facilities. You will evaluate and treat patients under a licensed PT, supporting independence and function in functional environments.

The role offers a flexible schedule with varied settings, a focus on patient-centered care, and opportunities for mentorship and ongoing education within a national therapy provider.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to patients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Attend patient care and meetings as a representative of physical therapy.
• Adhere to treatment schedules and complete timely documentation.
• Collaborate with rehab team to implement patient programs.
• Assist the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instruct patients and caregivers in therapy techniques under supervision.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all treated patients.
• Identify and report equipment needs or repairs.
• Prioritize patient service with compassionate care.
• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the PT.
• Provide therapies including exercise, gait training, manual therapy, and wellness education.
• Perform other related duties as required.
