Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide outpatient rehabilitation services in-home for older adults, either at the patient’s residence or in an independent living setting. The role emphasizes functional outcomes, home-based treatment, and collaborative support under a licensed Physical Therapist.

The PTA will work with a flexible schedule in various settings, focusing on therapeutic exercises, gait training, manual therapy, and wellness education to enhance independence

Qualifications

• Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice or proof of license eligibility.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to patient residences.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care and related meetings under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Adheres to scheduled treatment and documentation requirements including billing.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to implement patient-specific programs.
• Assists Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and procedures.
• Instructs patients and caregivers in home-based treatment techniques.
• Maintains timely documentation and reports equipment needs or repairs.
• Delivers patient-centered care with a focus on safety, independence, and function.
