Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a local contract Physical Therapy Assistant for outpatient rehabilitation in Gallup, New Mexico, including in-home and facility settings under a licensed PT. The role offers a flexible schedule and a structured environment to support functional independence for older adults.

The PTA will perform therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, manual therapy, and patient education, while documenting care and coordinating with the rehab team.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license eligibility.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to and from the patients' residence.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care and meetings under the direction of the licensed physical therapist.
• Adheres to department and patient treatment schedules and timely documentation requirements.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to implement programs and activities per patient needs.
• Acts as assistant to the physical therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients and caregivers in therapy techniques under supervision.
• Maintains timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans, maintains, and reports equipment needs.
• Delivers high-quality patient service in a compassionate setting.
