Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is hiring Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home personal care to adults and seniors. No experience required—we train and support you in a caring, client-focused role.

Join a supportive team with opportunities for certification, mileage reimbursement where applicable, and flexible full-time or part-time schedules. You will work in clients' homes with ongoing supervision and development paths.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in the State of Maine, OR willingness to enroll in a PSS training program within 60 days of hire.
• CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
• No experience required - training and support provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and basic hygiene.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, including safe movement with or without mobility aids.
• Help with household tasks related to care, including light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
• Assist with meal preparation, meal serving, grocery shopping, and errands as outlined in the care plan.
• Provide companionship and conversation and support daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition or safety concerns to your supervisor.
• Follow all instructions and perform only tasks listed in the client's service plan.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines during all client interactions.
• Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and MaineTouch policies.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and report incidents immediately.
• Treat all clients with dignity and respect.
• Maintain dependable attendance and follow assigned schedules.
• Follow all MaineTouch policies and procedures and participate in required training.

Education

High School Diploma or GED
