Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home personal care and support services to adults and seniors. This role offers hands-on, non-medical assistance in clients' homes, with training and ongoing supervision to support your success.

You will work independently in home settings, with opportunities for full-time or part-time shifts. The company emphasizes compassionate care, safety, and independence for clients, along with potential career growth and mileage

Qualifications

Must be at least 17 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Active PSS certification in the State of Maine, OR willingness to enroll in a PSS training program within 60 days of hire.
CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
No experience required - training and support provided.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and basic hygiene.
Support clients with mobility and transfers, including safe movement with or without mobility aids.
Help with household tasks related to care, including light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
Assist with meal preparation, meal serving, grocery shopping, and errands as outlined in the care plan.
Provide companionship and conversation and support daily routines or hobbies.
