Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is hiring Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home, non-medical care for adults and seniors. No experience is required; training and ongoing supervision are provided as you work with clients in their homes.

We offer flexible schedules, including day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts where applicable, with mileage reimbursement and opportunities for career growth within the MaineTouch pathway.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Active PSS certification in Maine or willingness to enroll within 60 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• CNA is accepted.
• No experience required; training and support provided.
• Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.
• Ability to work independently.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, and hygiene.
• Support mobility and transfers; use aids as needed.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and errands per care plan.
• Provide companionship and support daily routines and activities.
• Observe changes and report to supervisor immediately.
• Follow client service plan and complete documentation on time.
• Maintain infection control and safety guidelines.
• Protect client confidentiality per HIPAA and MaineTouch policies.
• Respond to emergencies and report incidents promptly.
• Maintain dignity and respect for all clients.
