Job summary

Powerback is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a full-time outpatient role in Glastonbury and Newington, CT. We deliver OT, PT, speech, and respiratory therapies to older adults across homes and facilities.

Work under an Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans, support families, and document care. Enjoy mentorship for new grads, free CEUs via Medbridge, and visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid license in the state of practice (CT) or license eligibility.
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation to patient residences.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care and meetings as a representative of occupational therapy.
• Adheres to department and patient treatment schedules; completes clinical and billing documentation.
• Collaborates with rehab team to develop programs and activities aligned with patient needs.
• Instructs patients, families and caregivers in OT techniques under supervision of the OT.
• Maintains timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans and maintains equipment; reports repairs as needed.
• Delivers patient-centered service and high-quality care in a compassionate environment.
• Implements individualized treatment plans established by the primary OT.
• Provides OT interventions across cognitive, motor, mobility, ADLs, safety, and wellness areas.
