Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide in-home therapy services to patients with neuromuscular, skeletal, and perceptual disorders under physician direction. A graduate OT program and current state license are required, with CPR certification and at least one year of related experience preferred.

The role involves scheduling patient visits, collaborating with clinical staff, documenting progress, and managing emergencies while maintaining professionalism and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current state OT license.
• CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year of experience in acute, rehab, outpatient, home health or long-term care.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient visits in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain regular contact with agency staff, physicians and hospital staff.
• Document patient progress and maintain confidential information.
• Provide in-home occupational therapy under physician direction when required.
• Handle emergencies independently and adapt to changing conditions.
