Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking compassionate veterinarians to join our in-home hospice and euthanasia program serving Mason, Sharonville, Blue Ash, and surrounding areas in Ohio. Enjoy professional autonomy, meaningful family relationships, and a practice outside the traditional clinic environment.

Work independently in clients' homes with a supportive Heartstrings team, no non-compete, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, PTO, CE allowance, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited program.
• Active U.S. veterinary license in the state(s) where services are provided.
• Ability to travel between scheduled in-home appointments safely.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile veterinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services within your service area.
• Travel to appointments and work in a mobile veterinary environment outside a traditional hospital.
• Perform examinations, medications, sedation, euthanasia, and related care.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options with empathy.
• Maintain accurate medical records for each patient encounter.
• Collaborate with Heartstrings team and referring veterinarians.
