Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across Rancho Cordova, Folsom, Gold River, and surrounding California areas. If you crave autonomy and meaningful interactions, this role offers in-home care, with no waiting rooms or corporate dashboards, and the chance to practice compassionate end-of-life veterinary medicine.

Competenze

• DVM/VMD/BVMS from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in the state(s) where services will be provided.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel between scheduled in-home appointments.
• Comfortable working independently as a mobile veterinarian.
• Demonstrated empathy and professionalism in end-of-life conversations.
• Availability for rotational weekend scheduling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in home environments.
• Completion of applicable background and motor vehicle record checks.

Mansioni

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services.
• Travel to scheduled appointments in a mobile veterinary care setting.
• Perform physical exams, clinical assessments, sedation, euthanasia, and medications within regulations.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options with empathy.
• Maintain accurate veterinary records and documentation for each encounter.
• Communicate professionally with families, Heartstrings team, and referring veterinarians.
• Safely handle and assist with movement of animals in homes.
• Maintain professionalism and clinical independence while in the field.
• Demonstrate Heartstrings' commitment to Compassion, Dignity, Respect in all interactions.
