Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in North Carolina is seeking a full-time Home Health Aide to provide compassionate hospice care within homes and facilities. The role requires NC CNA certification and reliable transportation; schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM with travel within Harnett and Lee counties to support patients.

Responsibilities include helping with daily living activities, monitoring health, documenting care using EVV, and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina CNA certification is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
• State-specific NC requirements: RN verification for in-home aides not on nurse aide registry.
• Preferred: CPR certification (within 90 days) and 6+ months home care experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, medication reminders)
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality; use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, respond promptly to client needs
• Function in diverse home settings regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
