Job summary

Haywood Hospice, part of the LHC Group, seeks a Hospice Aide CNA to provide in-home care in Waynesville, NC. The role supports personal hygiene, daily living activities, and household tasks to help clients stay in their homes. Requires NC CNA and home-based hospice experience; driving and reliable transportation are essential.

The position follows standard hours and serves Haywood, Jackson, and Buncombe counties with opportunities for recognition and development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Active NC CNA certification required.
• Home-based hospice experience preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation or access to public transit.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe home environment and operate basic medical equipment as needed
• Adapt to diverse home environments and client needs regardless of age, race, creed, or disability
