Job summary

Valor-Hospice is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse in patients' homes. You will assist with transfers, ambulation, basic treatments, and reporting changes to the RN, while maintaining a safe, clean and respectful environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (preferred), completion of a nurse aide training or state certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Completion of nurse aide training/competency evaluation as specified by regulations.
• Current driver's license.
• Hospice or home health experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and verbally report clinical information.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with safe transfers and ambulation.
• Report changes and document care rendered to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain infection control and a clean, safe home environment.
• Communicate effectively with patient, family, and hospice team.
