Job summary

Generac Channel Partner is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to perform in-home consultations for standby generators. You will assess sites, educate customers on power solutions, and guide them through financing and installation timelines.

The role requires collaboration with engineering and installation teams and maintaining precise CRM records. Applicants should have at least 2 years of in-home sales experience, with a background in HVAC/electrical/home improvement a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of in-home sales experience.
• Experience selling HVAC, electrical, roofing, solar, or other residential home improvement products is a plus.
• Strong presentation, communication, and closing skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms for homeowners.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Availability to work evenings and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home consultations with homeowners interested in standby generators.
• Perform site assessments to determine generator size and installation needs.
• Educate customers on backup power, outages, fuel options, and generator operation.
• Explain financing options, warranties, maintenance plans, and installation timelines.
• Collaborate with engineering, permitting, operations, and installation teams to complete projects.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline activity.
• Respond quickly to customer questions and deliver excellent service.
• Generate referrals by delivering outstanding customer experiences.
