Job summary

Options Counseling and Family Services seeks a Family Support Specialist to work with families referred through ODHS/Self Sufficiency in western Oregon. The role offers full-time hours, occasional evenings/weekends, and travel to family homes.

Responsibilities include in-home services, case coordination with community partners, and comprehensive documentation in the electronic client record. Minimum qualifications include two years of experience with at-risk families, knowledge of community

Qualifications

• Two years experience working with at-risk families within the last five years or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
• Familiar with community resources and crisis services; access to them.
• Valid Oregon driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Direct Service: provide in-home change services to children, adolescents and families; assess parental capacities related to child safety and wellbeing; deliver parent education, home management and other services.
• Case Coordination: coordinate case activities with ODHS/Self Sufficiency and partners; attend meetings and supervision.
• Documentation: maintain client records, progress notes, and treatment plans within the electronic client record system as required.
