Job summary

Maryland Nonprofits is seeking a Family Support Advocate to provide strength-based family services to prenatal-3 families through weekly in-home visits in Baltimore. You will partner with families to identify needs, develop action plans, and mobilize resources, maintaining a caseload of 15-25 families.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Behavioral Sciences (or related), 3–5 years in human services, and a driver’s license. Bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in behavioral sciences or related field.
• Experience in human or social services required or preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete family intake and assessment for each family within 30 days.
• Develop family goal plans within 30 days for each family.
• Review progress and adjust goals at least every 30 days.
• Role model effective parenting and nurturing skills.
• Provide direct teaching to families using curriculum to build healthy relationships.
• Identify and mobilize resources with the family; provide linkages as needed.
• Work flexible hours including weekends and evenings to meet family needs.
• Complete required home visits based on service intensity.
• Maintain accurate case files for each family.
• Complete assessments and documentation within funder/agency timelines.
• Meet weekly with Clinical Supervisor to discuss cases and plan visits.
• Complete statistics/reporting as required.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, or conferences.
• Participate in agency work teams as assigned.
