Job summary

Youth Villages is seeking a Family Intervention Specialist for the Intercept program, an evidence-based in-home service designed to keep families together and reduce out-of-home placements. It serves youth birth through 18 with emotional or behavioral challenges.

You will work in the family’s home and community, not in an office setting. The role involves delivering sessions to 4–6 families, visiting homes 3 times weekly, and coordinating with other providers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social services discipline (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline required.
• Experience with at-risk youth and families preferred.
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of 4 to 6 families.
• Holds individual and family sessions with each family 3 times a week.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of youth to determine needs.
• Attends weekly meetings for professional development and booster trainings.
• Drives up to 60 to 80 miles to meet families at home.
• Collaborates with providers, case workers, and courts for a treatment plan.
• Provides on-call crisis support as needed.
• Documents in an EMR system accurately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
