Job summary

Youth Villages in Bloomington, IN is seeking a Family Intervention Specialist to support children and families through the Intercept program. You will carry a caseload of 4–6 families and conduct in-home sessions designed to reduce out-of-home placements.

The role requires driving to families’ homes (up to 60–80 miles roundtrip), collaborating with schools, judges, and other providers, and maintaining accurate EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline (required)
• Master’s degree in a social services discipline (preferred)
• Experience working with at‑risk youth and/or families (preferred)
• Clinical experience (preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Carries a caseload of 4 to 6 families
• Holds individual and family sessions with each family 3 times a week
• Conducts ongoing assessment of youth to determine needs
• Attends 3 weekly meetings for professional development
• Drives up to 60 to 80 miles to meet with families
• Collaborates with other providers, case workers, and courts to formulate a plan
• Provides on‑call crisis support to the youth and family
• Completes documentation in an EMR system
• Performs other duties as assigned
