Job summary

Easterseals Vermont is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to work with families in the Burlington area. You will facilitate family meetings, provide in-home support, and coach parents to nurture children in DCF custody while connecting extended family for support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Two years of human services experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check are required.
• Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits is required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate family meetings and provide in-home support to strengthen families in their homes.
• Coach parents to have safe and nurturing time with children in DCF custody.
• Call extended family members to explore familial support and create genograms.
• Support families to meet the needs of their children in the moment.
