Job summary

Easterseals Vermont is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to support families in their homes and through family meetings. You will coach parents to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children in DCF custody and reach extended family for additional support, including genograms.

The role involves working with the Family Services Division, extensive training, and a strong focus on work-life balance in a family-friendly setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Two years of human services experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check are required.
• Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits is required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate family meetings and provide in-home support to strengthen families.
• Coach parents to have safe and nurturing time with their children in DCF custody.
• Call extended family members to explore familial support and create genograms.
• Collaborate with the Department of Children and Families - Family Services Division.
• Participate in training and supervision sessions.
