Job summary

Easterseals Vermont is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to support families in their homes and strengthen family connections. You will facilitate meetings, coach parents, and reach out to extended family to build supportive networks.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the DCF Family Services Division, flexible schedules, and a strong emphasis on work-life balance. A bachelor's degree in human services or related field is preferred, with experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Two years of human services experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
• Own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets coverage limits.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate family meetings and provide in-home support to strengthen families.
• Coach parents to ensure safe and nurturing time with children in DCF custody.
• Call extended family members to explore familial support and create genograms.
