Job summary

Easterseals Vermont seeks a Family Engagement Specialist to facilitate family meetings and provide in-home support to strengthen families in their homes. You will coach parents to ensure safe, nurturing time with children in DCF custody and assist them in meeting children’s needs.

You will also engage extended family for support and develop genograms. The role requires flexibility for scheduling, a valid driver's license, and a vehicle with insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Two years of human services experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check are required.
• Own reliable vehicle with insurance meeting coverage limits is required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate family meetings and provide in-home support to strengthen families in their homes.
• Coach parents to have safe and nurturing time with children placed in DCF custody and support their needs.
• Call extended family members to explore familial support and create genograms.
