Job summary

Easterseals Vermont is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to strengthen families through in-home support and skilled coaching for parents with children in DCF custody.

You will facilitate family meetings, contact extended family for support, and develop genograms while collaborating with the Family Services Division. Extensive training is provided and a driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Two years of human services experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check are required.
• Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits is required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate family meetings and provide in-home support to strengthen families in their homes.
• Coach parents to ensure safe and nurturing time with children in DCF custody.
• Contact extended family members to explore support and create genograms.
• Collaborate with Department of Children and Families - Family Services Division and our offices.
