Job summary

Home-Health-Services-of-Virginia seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home residential services for individuals with developmental disabilities in Herndon, VA. You will work one-on-one to help clients achieve goals in the least restrictive setting.

Responsibilities include budgeting support, daily task assistance, community access, and health and safety maintenance. Documentation and participation in trainings and supervision are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year experience caring for individuals with developmental or physical disabilities.
• A valid driver’s license and current auto insurance are required.
• Reliable computer for documentation completion.
• Current negative two part PPD test, CPR/First Aid.
• Medicaid Waiver Competency and Eligible Criminal/Central Registry Checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home residential services to individuals with developmental or physical disabilities.
• Support budgeting and money management.
• Assist with hygienic and household tasks.
• Engage individuals in social and community activities.
• Ensure health and safety of individuals.
• Complete daily progress notes and quarterly reports.
• Follow ISPs, attend trainings, and biweekly supervision.
• Maintain client confidentiality and assist with conflict resolution.
