Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota seeks an In-Home Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with disabilities in their homes or communities. You will build supportive relationships, encourage independence, and help implement individual plans while maintaining documentation and participating in trainings.

Requirements include a valid driver's license, background check, and medication administration training. CPR/First Aid preferred; driving record and MV checks are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle check.
• Background check must be cleared.
• Medication administration training completed or obtainable after hire.
• Computer and basic math skills required.
• Ability to read, write, solve problems and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security, and safety.
• Assist individuals in homes or communities and develop individual plans.
• Help individuals develop essential living skills and independence.
