Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking an In-Home Direct Support Professional to provide guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security and safety through relationship building with individuals who have disabilities. You will assist in homes or in the community, helping develop and monitor individual plans while promoting independence.

Responsibilities include documentation, record-keeping, and participating in trainings per regulations; CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be

Qualifications

A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Background check completed successfully.
Medication administration training completed or willing to obtain.
Computer and math skills.
Able to read, write, and follow directions.
Good decision-making and ability to respond to emergencies.
Patience, self-control, and flexibility.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred (may be obtained after hire).

Responsibilities

Provide guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security, and safety through relationship building.
Support individuals in their homes or community and assist in development of individual plans.
Help individuals develop essential living skills and increase independence.
Maintain documentation, record-keeping, and participate in meetings/trainings.
