Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and a Motor Vehicle Check.
• Background check must be successfully completed.
• Medication administration training may be required.
• Computer and math skills are needed.
• Able to read, write, solve problems, and follow directions.
• Good decision-making skills and ability to respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security, and safety through relationship building and direct interaction to individuals with disabilities.
• Support individuals in homes or communities and assist in developing and monitoring their plans and goals.
• Assist in developing essential living skills and maintaining/increasing independence; maintain documentation and attend meetings/trainings.
