Job summary

Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc. is seeking a Design Services Assistant to support Design Consultants with scheduling, in-home visits, and in-store engagements.

You will help create room designs, color coordination, and presentation materials for customers across multiple Dallas–Fort Worth locations. The role requires travel across the metroplex, evening and weekend availability, and collaboration with Sales Consultants to close sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or 2–4 years related experience; ASID certification preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel to client sites.
• Proficiency with Room Planner software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, attend, and assist with in-home visits with Design Consultant and Sales Consultant.
• Participate in in-store engagements and appointments with clients.
• Help build personalized presentations using approved templates and display elements.
• May draw floor plans using Havertys.com floor planner software.
• Provide feedback after each house visit and after completion of floor plans and presentations.
• Assist with creation of special-order SKUs and floor plans for in-store clients.
• Support sales consultants to close sales and reinforce customer selections.
