Job summary

Havertys Furniture in Indianapolis is seeking a Design Services Assistant to support the Design Consultant by scheduling, preparing, and following up on design services for Havertys customers.

You will accompany the Design Consultant to clients' homes, help with room layouts using the floor planner, and assist on-store engagements and appointments, building presentations and coordinating color and furniture placements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or 2–4 years related experience required.
• ASID certification is preferred.
• Ability to assist with in-home and in-store engagements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Design Consultant with scheduling and preparing home visits.
• Attend client homes to ensure furniture placement and color coordination.
• Prepare and present floor plans and presentation templates.
• Support sales floor engagements and in-store appointments.
• Help sales consultants with special-order SKUs and floor plans for in-store clients.
• Provide feedback to design team after house visits and presentations.
