Job summary

Havertys in Boca Raton, FL is seeking an Assistant Design Consultant to support scheduling, preparing, and following with design services for our customers. You will accompany the Design Consultant on client home visits to ensure proper furniture placement and color coordination, and will recommend additional pieces to complete the room design.

The role includes assisting with in-store engagements and appointments, with potential sales-floor training to understand Havertys’ customer engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field; or 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training/ or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASID certification preferred.
• Must have a current valid drivers license with a clean driving record and be able to drive to customer in-home appointments.

Responsibilities

• Schedule or attend scheduled qualified home visits; evening and weekend work as per customer schedule.
• Visit customers’ homes with Design Consultant.
• Assist Design Consultant with in-home visits and floor plans.
• Build personalized presentations using approved template and SWAGGER display.
• May draw floor plans using Havertys.com floor planner software.
• Provide feedback after each house visit and post-purchase presentation.
• Assist Sales Consultant with creating special-order SKUs and floor plans for in-store clients.
• Support in-store engagements and appointments.
• Maintain knowledge of furniture styles and products.
