Job summary

A community support organization is looking for a Behavioral Consultant to provide in-home and community-based behavioral support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role involves conducting assessments, developing behavior support plans, and collaborating with families. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree and possess relevant certifications. This contract position offers flexibility in schedules, working independently with opportunities for meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• CPR & First Aid Certificate required.
• Negative TB test prior to providing services to clients.
• Clean background check necessary.

Responsibilities

• Complete Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and ongoing evaluations.
• Teach and coach caregivers on behavior support strategies.
• Develop and revise Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).

Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments

Experience working as a Behavioral Consultant

Ability to work independently

Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security standards

Education

Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Social Work, or related field
