Job summary

Comfort Keepers is hiring a part-time in-home CNA for the Brainerd area. Wage begins at $18 an hour unless Certified Nursing Assistant then $20 an hour, with eligibility after 5 months for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy.

Part-time and full-time hours are available depending on your availability. You will help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes through activities of daily living, personal care, light housekeeping, meals, companionship, and mobility support.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Own reliable transportation with clean driving record and 3 years of driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer service excellence and professional boundaries are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Provide hands-on personal care including dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping (bathroom, living areas, kitchen, dusting, mopping, laundry).
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Provide companionship and engage in conversations.
• Interactive care giving to support independence at home.
• Assist with mobility using transfer tools/equipment.
• Assist with medication.cknowledge dementia or Alzheimer’s care needs.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Document shifts and care electronically.

About the Job

• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.
