Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking an in-home health aide to support clients in their own homes in the Avon area. Wage begins at $18 per hour; Certified Nursing Assistant typically earns $20 per hour. Eligible after 5 months for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy.

We offer part-time and full-time hours based on availability, with benefits like PTO accrual, weekly pay, and flexible schedules. Responsibilities include ADL support, meal prep, companionship, mobility assistance, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Provide hands-on personal care including dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping: bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, laundry.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Offer conversation and companionship.
• Engage in Interactive Caregiving.
• Assist with mobility and use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assist with medication management.
• Provide dementia or Alzheimer's care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Document shift and cares electronically.

About the Job

As an in-home caregiver, you will clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living.
• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimer's care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.
