Job summary

Comfort Keepers is hiring in the Brainerd area for in-home caregivers. Wage starts at $18/hour, $20/hour for CNAs, with free CNA classes after 5 months. Part-time and full-time roles are available to fit your schedule.

As an in-home caregiver, you’ll help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Responsibilities include daily living activities, personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, companionship, mobility and medication support, and dementia care as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance, comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence and Professional Boundaries required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Provide hands-on personal care including dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping: bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, laundry.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Offer conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving and mobility assistance as needed.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care when required.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Document shift cares electronically.

About The Job

• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.
