Job summary

Comfort Keepers #581 is hiring in-home caregivers in the St. Cloud area. Flexible hours and schedules are available, with wage starting at $18/hour, and $20/hour for Certified Nursing Assistants. After 5 months, eligible for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy.

The role includes helping clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home, with duties spanning daily living activities, mobility support, meal prep, and companionship.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role is required.
• Available every other weekend and holiday.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; comfortable driving.
• Background clearance and DHS check may be required.
• Customer service excellence and professional boundaries expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal cares.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed.
• Provide companionship and safe transportation when required.
• Document care electronically after shifts and communicate with the coordinator.
• Support mobility and assist with medication as directed.

Wage begins at $18 an hour unless Certified Nursing Assistant then $20 an hour. Eligible after 5 months of employment for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy.

Part time and full-time hours available depending on your availability.

About the Job

As an in-home caregiver, you will clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living.
• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.

Comfort Keepers Requirements

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.
