Job summary

Nurse Next Door in California is seeking compassionate Home Care Aides to help seniors stay at home with nonmedical support. Flexible, part- to full-time schedules that fit your life, with 10–40 hours per week and a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and overnights.

You will execute the care plan, assist with ADLs, hygiene, meals, mobility, light housekeeping, transportation, and record services.

Qualifications

• Compassionate caregiver with ability to interact effectively with clients.
• Able to follow care plans and communicate clearly with clients and staff.
• Demonstrates patience, reliability and a respectful bedside manner.

Responsibilities

• Follow the client’s care plan and assist with ADLs.
• Assist with hygiene including bathing, grooming and dressing.
• Help with transfers, mobility, and prescribed exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals and assist with eating.
• Record services and report changes to the administrator.
• Transport to appointments and run errands as needed.
